Only today, two years after the fact did I discover that my friend, Rudy, passed away.  I first became friends with Rudy in first grade at Coker Elementary in Mrs Smith's class.

I remember Rudy was extremely fast-footed and he loved playing softball & baseball in PE and after school in our neighborhood.  Another memory is when I would catch a ride home with Rudy after classes at Mac.  I believe he drove an El Camino and I would hop in the back cuz there was no room in the bench seat and he would put the pedal to the metal.  I swear when I looked through the back glass I saw the speedometer approaching 90mph as he sped down Bitters Rd just prior to the San Pedro intersection.

We reconneted on FB about 15 yrs ago where we would exchange posts & comments. I begged him to come to our Mac reunions - but sadly no luck.  I never saw him again after graduation.  My loss....
