Jamie Lisa Lyde Harper passed away at home on November 6, 2004, born January 5, 1954 in Ft. Bragg, NC. She is survived by her beloved son, Travis Harper; mother, Penny Lyde; sister, Karel (Richard) Kruegel, Jerry (Amanda) Harper. She was preceded in death by her father, Nolen Lyde in 1991. Jamie was like a ray of sunshine- her smile lit up a room. We met when she moved to Garner and we became instant BFF's for the remainder of our years together in school. She had a giggle like no other and was as sweet and innocent as she appeared. I moved to California in 1990 and we pretty much lost track except for a phone call or visit every once in a while when I came home. She had a lot of struggles with addiction in her later years- I only learned a few years ago that she had passed- such a sad sad loss. RIP Jamie, you were the light of my teenage life- I loved you very much.
