Lisa M. Smith

Lisa Mann Smith, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother born in East St. Louis IL, March 17, 1954, entered into rest Aug. 16, 2007. A graduate of McArthur High School. Lisa loved to dance and was a ballroom enthusiast. Most of all she loved to read. Before you knew it she was done with one thriller and grabbing at another. Lisa was a collector of ancient Chinese foot bindings and was fascinated how things were done by the women of history. There are dozen of her two children's friends who knew her as Mom Parker. All the neighborhood kids relied on her for big meals and warm cookies and of course some well needed advice. She was always available for love and time. Lisa always had an open door and a full house. Her happiest times were spent in West Texas with her kids cooking for all the ranch hands. Though in pain during the later years, she was always quick with a smile and razor sharp wit. With a twist of her chin, her eyes would twinkle and you know you had been had by her brilliance. Her mother Mary Ellen Grayson preceded Lisa in death. She is survived by husband John Smith of San Antonio, son Shane Parker, wife Ginger and grandaughter Tinley Of Liberty TX, daughter Tina Wenzel Booth, son-in-law Sgt. Kevin Allen Booth, United States Marine Corps who is currently serving his third tour in Iraq; father Robert Mann and wife Joyce of Seminole FL; sister Karen Mann and husband Michael Hurlbut of Dripping Springs TX; sister DeAubrey Grayson of San Antonio, brother Neilan Grayson and wife Marilyn and step father Stanley Grayson of Las Cruces.
